Described as reminiscent to Kate Bush and Karen Carpenter (Send Me Your Ears & Sinusoidal) Alex Kate has entered the music industry ring as someone to be heard. Achieving the โ2023 Glastonbury emerging talent long listโ, others think so too. Her sound has journeyed from synth pop, to rock pop back to synth pop again with her third EP. But one thing remains the same, her haunting vocals and her catchy hooks throughout her songs. Her main sonic inspirations are, Kate Bush, Fleetwood Mac, 1975, Christine & The Queens and Florence and The Machine. Alex has been lucky to have been able to film in Cape Town two years in a row, having family out there. Check out her videos and visualisers which go with each song.
